Beginning Flamenco class
Beginning technique & choreography Rumba
This class is an introduction to everything Flamenco: the origins, the rhythms, clapping (palmas), footwork, and upper body movement. Music and palmas. Choreography is a Rumba Flamenca; Rumba is party music and also the most common form of Flamenco music and dance in the United States with a 4/4 time signature.
This class is held on Tuesdays, January 27th, February 3rd, 10th, and 17th from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Theatre Puget Sound located on the 4th floor of the Seattle Center Armory.
Single class: $30; all 4 classes: $100.

Alegrias de Camaron
Alegrias is a popular traditional Flamenco form that embodies happiness. In this class, we combine the music and legacy of Flamenco's greatest artist, Camarón de la Isla, with this joyful expression of Flamenco. In addition to learning the 12-count rhythm and the structure of an alegrias, we also will learn the poetic and profound lyrics of Camarón de la Isla for alegrias.
This class is held on Thursday, January 29th, February 5th, 12th, and 19th, mornings from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Theatre Puget Sound located on the 4th floor of the Seattle Center Armory.
Single class $30; all 4 classes $100.
